Animal Miracles

PAX USA and Life Network (39x60 min.)

Gordon Carson has finished directing the reenactments on his third season of the series Animal Miracles (entitled Miracle Pets in the U.S.). This collection uplifting stories that will touch your heart. The series chronicles amazing instances of animals protecting and saving humans, by means of extraordinary instincts, survival wisdom, maybe even mystical means.

Animal Miracles is hosted by seven-time Emmy nominee Alan Thicke. The show is produced by Peace Arch Entertainment with Executive Producer Blair Reekie, and Series Producer Barry Gray.

Gordon Carson discusses character motivation with a guest star.

"Animal Miracles is by far among the toughest directing assignments I’ve ever had. I really feel for the actors. It takes an incredible amount of concentration to block out the constant distraction from the animal trainers calling out 'Stay, come, stand, speak, sit…'

"As a director you must possess a tremendous amount of patience and flexibility. The animals come first, and you must always appreciate their needs. Eventually you do get the shot, and it’s certainly gratifying when you hear a resounding chorus of trainers cooing ‘good boy or good girl’ and you see the animals vigorously wagging their tails in response."
