The Word on the
Street
Its nice to know
that I have someone who will take one of our scripts and turn it
into a work of art - on time and , just as important, within budget.
I would not hesitate to use his services in the future and, in fact,
would postpone a project if he were not available to produce and
direct it for me .
Richard M. Kivi, ComCon, Inc.
( Frontec Videos )
The Revolution Continues has been
very well received -- its raising eyebrows wherever it goes.
I occasionally cross paths with people in the video biz in Ottawa
and many mention having seen the show. Most seem to be a bit in
awe, and no one has suggested they take over our corporate video
needs. I think you've got them running scared.
Valerie Eddy, Cognos Inc.
Kids, Talk & Videotape was very
well-received by Health Canada and by our colleagues involved in
the national child and youth health goals project. The kids certainly
'had a lot to say' and their opinions, combined with your artistry,
resulted in an enthusiastic start to the community consultations.
Margo Craig Garrison, Health Canada
Gordon Carson won three Lotus Awards for the PNE commercial
campaign. With limited funds and no actual script, Carson created
a stop-motion animation concept for the openings and closings, and
in collaboration with the creative team at Palmer Jarvis, came up
with dozens of scenarios for the wacky campaign. The PNE spots won
Lotuses for Best Use of Animation and Best Television Campaign,
as well as a certificate for Best Multimedia Campaign.
Playback Magazine
The video has become more than just an introduction
for the Canada Remembers program. Audiences are genuinely moved
by it and these audiences are not limited to those who experienced
the war years first hand. At a recent opening ceremony I saw people
in their thirties dabbing at their eyes.
Len Dent, Director of Marketing, Veterans
Affairs On Canada Remembers
A sincere congratulations is extended to
you and the members of Planet Pictures for achieving excellence
at the recent Reel Awards. It seems the visual impact of children
at the landfill site, the captivating soundtrack and the immediacy
of the message captured the hearts of the judges... You should be
proud of your accomplishments.
Mayor Jacqueline Holzman, City of Ottawa
on "Dump Kids Public Service Announcement
It was a pleasure to work with people who
become so immersed in what they do. I could tell from your advice
on our project that Planet Pictures was not just a firm that produces
videos but one that becomes a part of the story.
Francine Sicoffe, Health and Welfare Canada
On Differently Able
(Boomtown) had the best video the Commission has
seen in years. Congrats!!
